From Osaka: Take a JR express train from Tenno-ji station and get off at the Shirahama station. A free hotel shuttle are avairable at the station. Time schedule for shuttle are available thrught hotel website or make a reservation in advance.

Hotel Sasayuri has 30 rooms. Hotel Yamayuri has 17 rooms, and Hotel Himeyuri has 9 rooms. There is both Japanese or western style rooms.

The Water

Onsen Specifics: Five outdoor bathing location for man, four outdoor bathing location for woman, and four outdoor bathing location for mix. Two indoor bathing rooms (one for man and one for woman).

This hot spring resort has the biggest outdoor hot spring in the Kansai area. There are three hotels are built next each other. One is called Hotel Sasayuri. This is the most up-scare hotel of three. The median rate hotel is Hotel Yamayuri. And the Hotel Himeyuri is the most inexpensive.

The Buzz

Great hot spring, but this is overly developed. If you are looking for quiet and traditional place in Japan you are disappointed.
