This onsen has two completely different faces. One, called Sansui Ryokan is for upscale travelers who want to relax and other, called Touji village is for people who come here for treatment. Spa facilities are the same for both, but accommodations are separated by building. Entire facility is heated by the hot water shooting out from right next onsen facility. Even cold winter, all rooms, corridors, and kitchens are warm. The onsen is located in the middle of National Park. There are a lot of place to hike and ski. Since water are know to cure many illness, many people come here from all over Northern part of Japan to stay for weeks.
The accommodation for Toji village was reasonably price and absolutory clean. You can eat simple Japanese food at the restaurant. Even though it was snow, whole building was warm. People were nice and kind.
