Katsuragino-sato is the sister ryokan with Yumoto Choza. The main wooden houses were built 150 years ago; several more recently bult buildings were designed to integrate with the original architecture.
Both indor and outdoor baths are spacious, and the family bath (for couples and families) is rarely crowded as there are only 10 rooms in the ryokan.
Japanese onsen lovers consistently give Katsuragino-sato high marks and not surprisingly, the onsen has many repeat visitors.
