The Water

Onsen Specifics: Two indoor bathing rooms (one for man and one for woman). Two outdoor bathing locations for mix and one outdoor bathing location for woman.

In the middle of the mountain, Mt. Azuma. Azumaya Ryokan was literally surrounded with trees. No building is next to it. In order to keep harmony with the environment, the ryokan kept simple style. It might be better explained as a sophisticate mountain hat. Especially in winter, everything but outdoor bathtubs are covered with snow. You might even be able to listen the sound of snow falling. The meals are cooked with local vegetable and meats.
