You can enjoy an ultimate ryokan experience in Yamatoya Besso Ryokan. Many traditional Japanese customs and rituals are still practice every day here. Staffs are all wearing Kimono and smiling like sunshine. The several kimonos are prepared for gusts to pick and invite them to become a part of the sense. Wooden hallways, Japanese rice paper door and lanterns, and flawlessly arranged Japanese garden in the courtyard are real. The ryukan has 120 years history even though it was rebuilt in 1988. The original structure and sprits are kept even today.
The most charm of this ryokan is use of Hiku poems in a room and hallways. The scrolls of Hiku with original calligraphy are exhibited and express the season of the year. They are changed 7 times a year.
